Role Description This full-time, on-site Cinematographer role is based at NIMS University in Jaipur. The Cinematographer will plan and execute visual storytelling for academic projects, promotional videos, documentaries, and media productions across the university. Daily responsibilities include operating cameras, selecting lenses, framing shots, and coordinating with directors, producers, and media faculty to achieve the desired visual style.

The role involves designing and managing lighting setups, collaborating on shot lists and storyboards,



and ensuring technical quality in exposure, color, and composition. The Cinematographer will also oversee on-set equipment, support post-production teams with footage handover, and help maintain best practices for safe and efficient production.

Qualifications

- Robust Camera Operation skills, including proficiency with digital cinema cameras, lenses, and related equipment.
- Experience in Video Production, covering pre-production planning, on-set execution, and collaboration in post-production workflows.
- Background in Film Production, with the ability to work closely with directors, producers, and crew to translate scripts into visual narratives.
- Advanced Cinematography skills, including composition, shot design, movement, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Expertise in Lighting, including designing and adjusting lighting setups for indoor and outdoor shoots to achieve consistent visual quality.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Film, Media, Mass Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with production tools and software (e.g., basic knowledge of editing and color grading platforms is an advantage).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Prior experience in educational, documentary, or institutional media projects is preferred.
