Key Responsibilities

1.Patient Care & Diagnosis

· Evaluate patients with cardiac symptoms and medical history.

· Perform comprehensive cardiovascular examinations and establish accurate diagnoses.

· Diagnose and manage conditions such as coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and other cardiovascular disorders.

· Review and interpret ECG, Echocardiography, TMT, Holter monitoring, cardiac biomarkers, and other relevant investigations.

· Conduct OPD consultations, inpatient evaluations, and follow-up assessments of cardiac patients.

2.Treatment& Procedures

· Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's clinical condition.

· Provide appropriate medical management and monitor treatment response.

· Perform or supervise relevant cardiology procedures within the doctor's scope of practice and hospital privileges.

· Provide timely management of acute cardiac emergencies, including chest pain, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest.

· Coordinate with interventional cardiology and other specialist teams when advanced intervention or referral is required.

3.Inpatient& Emergency Care





· Conduct regular rounds and monitor hospitalized cardiac patients.

· Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and critical-care situations.

· Coordinate with ICU, Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Surgery, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology

· Ensure appropriate escalation or referral of complex cases.

4.Patient& Family Communication

· Explain diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, and expected outcomes clearly to patients and relatives.

· Provide appropriate counselling regarding medication compliance, diet, exercise, lifestyle modification, and cardiac risk-factor management.

· Maintain compassionate and professional communication with patients.

5.Documentation& Compliance

· Maintain accurate and timely patient records, clinical notes, prescriptions, investigation reports, and discharge summaries.

· Follow hospital clinical protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and ethical requirements.

· Participate in quality-improvement and clinical-audit activities.

6.Teamwork& Professional Development

· Work collaboratively with nurses, technicians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

· Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, CME programs, and departmental training.

· Keep updated with current cardiology guidelines, treatment approaches, and advances in cardiovascular care.

Qualification & Experience

· MD/DNB in General Medicine with DM/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent recognized qualification.

· Valid registration with the appropriate State Medical Council/NMC or applicable medical authority.

· Relevant experience in cardiology, preferably in a hospital setting.

· Experience in managing cardiac emergencies, inpatient cases and critical-care patients.

· Interventional cardiology experience may be required for an interventional cardiologist position-

· Experience in managing cardiac conditions during pregnancy will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
