Cameraman / Videographer – Hesh Media

About the Role

Hesh Media is looking for a skilled, creative and responsible Cameraman / Videographer to join our team and independently handle photography and videography requirements for our clients.

The role will involve travelling to client locations, planning and executing shoots, capturing high-quality photos and videos, and working closely with our Social Media Managers, Editors and Founders to create content for social media and digital marketing.

We are looking for someone who understands content creation, camera work and visual storytelling, and can confidently handle a shoot from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently handle photography and videography shoots for Hesh Media clients.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos for Instagram, Facebook, websites and other digital platforms.
- Shoot Reels, talking-head videos, promotional videos, product videos, business content and events.
- Understand the objective of each shoot and plan the shots accordingly.
- Follow shot lists, references, scripts and creative directions provided by the team.
- Suggest creative ideas, angles, locations and compositions wherever appropriate.
- Handle camera, lighting, audio and other shooting equipment professionally.
- Ensure proper framing, composition, exposure, focus, lighting and camera movement.
- Capture multiple angles and variations required for editing.
- Work closely with Social Media Managers to understand content requirements.
- Coordinate professionally with clients and their teams during shoots.
- Direct and guide clients when required for photographs and talking-head videos.
- Ensure all required footage and photographs are properly captured before completing a shoot.
- Organise and transfer footage properly after shoots.
- Coordinate with video editors and provide relevant footage and shoot details.




- Maintain and take proper care of shooting equipment.
- Travel to different client locations across Amritsar and nearby areas as required.
- Handle multiple shoots and manage shoot schedules efficiently.
- Assist with larger campaigns, events and special production projects.

Shooting Skills The candidate should have a robust working knowledge of:
- Professional camera operation
- Photography & Videography

- Aperture, shutter speed, ISO and exposure
- Different lenses and focal lengths
- Vertical/9:16 content
- Talking-head videos
- Product photography & videography
- Event and business shoots
- Basic visual storytelling

Knowledge of gimbals, tripods, professional lighting, microphones and other production equipment will be preferred.

Social Media Understanding

Since most of our content is created for digital marketing, the candidate should understand how footage is used on social media.

A basic understanding of

- Trending content formats
- Talking-head content
- Product/brand videos
- Promotional videos
- Social media content requirements

will be preferred. You do not need to be a social media expert, but you should understand what type of footage makes strong social media content and gives editors enough material to create engaging videos.

- 1+ year of relevant photography/videography experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of cameras and shooting techniques.

Equipment Having personal camera equipment is not mandatory.

However, candidates with their own professional camera, lenses, lights, gimbal, microphone or other production equipment may be preferred depending on their experience and capabilities.

Who Would Be a Good Fit?

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys photography, videography and creating content and wants to work across different industries and types of projects.

You should be someone who can independently walk into a client location, understand what needs to be created, plan the shots, operate the equipment and make sure we leave with everything required for the final content.

The ideal candidate should have a creative eye, technical knowledge and professional client-handling skills, rather than being someone who only operates a camera based on instructions.

Reporting The Cameraman / Videographer will report directly to the Founder and work closely with the Social Media Managers, Editors and other members of the creative team.

Compensation

₹20,000+ per month, depending on experience, skills and overall suitability for the role.
