TL;DR: We're hiring a structural simulation engineer who has worked with Ansys Mechanical and Ansys LS-DYNA. You'll run analyses for customers across aerospace, defence, automotive/EV, drones and naval, from fatigue on a bracket to drop tests on a battery pack, and your results will feed real design decisions. If you have at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with both tools, read the details below and apply.
The Role
You'll own structural simulation projects from start to finish, from understanding the customer's problem to delivering results they can trust. Some days that means fatigue life on an aircraft bracket. Other days it's a drop test on an EV battery pack or impact loads on a defence enclosure. If you like variety, tough problems and seeing your analysis drive real design decisions, this role is for you.
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a fresher or trainee role. You should be able to take a project and run it with limited hand-holding.
- Not a CAD or drafting role. The core of the job is simulation and analysis.
- Not a sales role. You will, however, give technical inputs during pre-sales discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run structural analyses in Ansys Mechanical, including static, modal, harmonic, random vibration, thermal-structural and fatigue
- Build and solve explicit dynamics models in Ansys LS-DYNA for impact, crash, drop test and high-strain-rate events
- Handle nonlinear problems involving contacts, large deformation and material plasticity
- Prepare quality meshes, pick the right material models and set realistic boundary conditions
- Check results against hand calculations, test data or design standards
- Write clear technical reports and present findings directly to customers
- Support the sales team with technical inputs for proposals and pre-sales discussions
- Build repeatable methods and templates for common analysis types
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
These are the results we expect from this role.
- Accuracy and reliability of simulation results, with minimal rework after customer review
- On-time delivery against agreed project timelines
- Quality and clarity of technical reports
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business from your projects
What You Bring
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace
- 2–3+ years of hands-on project experience in Ansys Mechanical and Ansys LS-DYNA (both are required)
- Solid fundamentals in strength of materials, structural dynamics and FEA
- Experience with implicit and explicit solvers, and knowing when to use which
- Ability to work independently on a project and meet customer timelines
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive or EV programmes
- Familiarity with shock and vibration standards such as MIL-STD-810
- Scripting in APDL or Python to automate workflows
- Exposure to LS-PrePost, SpaceClaim or HyperMesh
- Experience working directly with customers
Why Join Us
- Work on live programmes across different industries
- Be part of a group with over two decades of engineering experience
- A small team where your work is visible and your growth is fast
- Customer-facing exposure early in your career
