Key Responsibilties

Buying &

- Procurement

- Manage procurement of raw materials, electrical components, metal, hardware, finishing materials, and other production requirements.
- Evaluate existing suppliers and develop new sources for key materials.
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Plan purchases based on production, product development, and project requirements.
- Monitor material availability, seasonality, and market price trends to support advance buying.
- Convert approved BOMs into purchase requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and accurate procurement records.

Product &

- Project Costing

- Prepare detailed SKU-wise costing for new and existing products.
- Calculate material, labour, processing, yield, wastage, and job-work costs.
- Benchmark material and vendor costs against market and historical rates.
- Finalize product and custom project costing in coordination with Design and Production.
- Track estimated vs. actual costs and identify significant variances.
- Provide cost, pricing, and margin inputs for new products, bulk orders, and custom projects.

Vendor Development &

- Management

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, fabricators, and job-work vendors.
- Develop alternate sources for critical materials and processes.
- Evaluate vendors on quality, pricing, delivery, responsiveness, and reliability.
- Conduct vendor visits and quality assessments where required.




- Resolve vendor-related quality, pricing, delivery, and commercial issues.
- Build long-term supplier relationships and ensure adherence to agreed terms.

Custom Project &

- Production Tracking

- Coordinate with Design, Production, and vendors from costing through project execution.
- Track project-wise production, material requirements, vendor commitments, and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure production and delivery milestones are met.
- Identify and escalate potential cost, quality, and timeline deviations and coordinate corrective actions.

Planning, Coordination &

- Reporting

- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams for smooth material and production flow.
- Track material requirements against product, production, project, and launch schedules.
- Maintain visibility on procurement costs, inventory, vendor performance, and material trends.
- Prepare MIS and regular updates on procurement, costing, vendor performance, and project progress.
- Support budgeting, pricing, collection planning, and cost optimization initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

- Experience in Procurement/Buying, Costing, Vendor Management, and Production Coordination.
- Robust understanding of materials, fabrication, manufacturing, and vendor processes.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, costing, and coordination skills.
- Experience in home décor, furniture, lifestyle, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred.
