Role Description The Business Development Associate is a full time, remote role responsible for identifying and developing opportunities that support the Trust’s growth, sustainability, and outreach. Day-to-day tasks include researching potential partners and donors, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and assisting in the creation of proposals, presentations, and partnership materials. The role involves coordinating outreach campaigns, supporting fundraising initiatives, and tracking performance metrics for business development activities.

The associate will collaborate closely with program, communications,



and leadership teams to align growth strategies with the organization’s mission and goals.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in relationship-building, stakeholder management, and networking to develop partnerships and collaborations.
- Ability to conduct market and donor research, analyze data, and identify growth opportunities for the organization.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including drafting proposals, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Basic knowledge of fundraising, nonprofit operations, or sales processes, with an understanding of business development principles.
- Comfort using productivity tools and CRM or database systems to manage contacts, track outreach, and report results.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and targets.
- Commitment to animal welfare and alignment with the mission and values of Bharat Tails Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in business development, fundraising, sales, or partnership roles in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is an advantage.
