Business Analyst

Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience to drive requirement gathering, documentation, and functional validation for a Banking client's website. This role is the bridge between the client's business stakeholders and the technical delivery team — owning requirement elicitation and grooming, authoring Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) across the website's components and integrations, validating features through functional testing, and ensuring a bug-free experience on production at go-live. Candidate should be flexible to travel for Business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Banking client's stakeholders to gather requirements, document business impact and priorities, and groom the requirement backlog through structured elicitation and refinement sessions.

Act as the primary liaison between the client's Bank website team and the Technical PM / Tech teams, ensuring requirements are understood, questions are resolved quickly, and delivery stays on track.

Own end-to-end authoring of Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) covering standard website components, new features, and backend integrations Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria that development teams can build against without ambiguity.

Perform functional testing on Sandbox/UAT environments for each feature, including corner and edge cases, and document test steps, results, and defects in a structured, traceable format.

Log, prioritize, and track defects found during testing through to resolution, working closely with developers and the Technical PM to verify fixes before sign-off.

Be available during deployment windows to perform live testing on production immediately after release,



confirming features behave as specified in the live setting.

Take ownership of bug-free feature releases on production — proactively flag risks, coordinate rollback or hotfix decisions if issues surface, and drive releases to clean closure.

Maintain end-to-end requirement traceability — from the original business ask, through the FRD, to development, testing, and final production sign-off.

Support backlog prioritization and release sequencing in partnership with the client and delivery leads, balancing business urgency against technical dependencies.

Prepare and maintain release notes, UAT test evidence, and sign-off documentation for every deployment.

Flag scope changes, gaps, or conflicting requirements early, and drive timely resolution with stakeholders to avoid delivery slippage.

Required Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally supporting Banking or financial services clients on website or digital platform delivery.

Proven experience authoring FRDs / BRDs, user stories, and functional specifications for web-based features and backend integrations.

Hands-on experience performing functional testing on Sandbox/UAT environments, including designing and executing corner-case and edge-case test scenarios.

Comfortable working directly with client-side business stakeholders to elicit, document, prioritize, and groom requirements.





Experience collaborating with Technical Project Managers and engineering teams to track delivery through to production release.

Solid written documentation skills — able to clearly capture business impact, priority, scope, and acceptance criteria in a way both business and technical teams can act on.

Availability to support live deployment windows and perform post-release validation, including outside standard hours when releases require it.

Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and an ownership mindset around defect-free production releases.

Ability to manage a large and growing backlog of requirement documents (20+) with consistent quality and traceability.

Good stakeholder-management and communication skills, comfortable working across both business and technical audiences.

Preferred Prior experience working with a Banking or financial services client on website, portal, or digital experience programs.

Experience with requirement-management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

Exposure to backend integration testing (APIs, data feeds) in addition to front-end/website functional testing.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release ceremonies.

Understanding of banking compliance and data-privacy considerations relevant to website features (e.g., data handling, consent, accessibility).

Experience creating process flow diagrams, wireframe annotations, or user journey maps to support requirement clarity.
