About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Product team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise software solutions.

Please Note: This is not a conventional Business Analyst role. We are specifically looking for academicians with solid academic/teaching experience who can bring their understanding of education processes and user needs into our product team.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- - Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct requirement analysis, feasibility studies, gap analysis, and impact assessments to support business objectives.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create process flow diagrams, workflow documentation, UI wireframes, and mockups using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
- Work closely with Product, Development, QA, and Implementation teams to ensure accurate understanding and execution of requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs, solution demonstrations,



and stakeholder review sessions.
- Maintain project documentation, knowledge repositories, and requirement traceability using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Provide functional support, user training, and post-implementation assistance to ensure successful product adoption.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality standards and business objectives.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in any relevant discipline; preference for candidates with Education, Management, Technology, Commerce, or related backgrounds.
- Minimum 3 years of professional teaching/academic experience, preferably in a college or university.
- Experience working with academic processes, institutional workflows, or accreditation will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to ERP, LMS, SIS, digital products, or other technology platforms is preferred.
- Candidates with strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills who are interested in transitioning into a product/technology role are encouraged to apply.

- Understanding of academic/education processes across schools, colleges, or universities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good technology/software exposure, including ERP, LMS, SIS, or other academic systems.




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify process gaps.
- Ability to understand user needs, document processes, and suggest product/process improvements.
