Role Description The Banking Reconciliation role at Meta Black is a contract, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves performing daily bank reconciliations, comparing bank statements with internal financial records, and identifying discrepancies in transactions, balances, and accounting entries.

The person in this role will investigate variances, coordinate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to resolve issues, and ensure timely updates to ledgers and reconciliation reports.

Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation,



supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with internal controls and audit requirements related to cash and bank accounts. The role requires consistent adherence to company policies, timelines, and quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement in reconciliation processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for identifying discrepancies, interpreting financial data, and resolving reconciliation issues.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, respond to queries, and document reconciliation outcomes clearly.
- Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge, including understanding of banking operations, cash management, and financial controls.
- Candidates should possess solid Accounting and Account Reconciliation skills, including experience with ledgers, journal entries, and bank statement matching.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field are preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) would be beneficial.
- Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to work with deadlines in a rapid-paced environment are important.
- Prior experience in banking reconciliation or corporate treasury/accounting functions is an advantage.
