About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. This role is pivotal in driving the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems that form the backbone of our SMS marketing platform. As a Backend Developer, you will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies to create robust APIs, optimize database performance, and implement automation solutions.

Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver innovative features and improve the efficiency of our services. Additionally, you will play a key role in integrating AI-powered tools into our development workflow, helping us accelerate delivery cycles and improve code quality.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.

Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS, is essential. Familiarity or keen interest in AI-based development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable will be highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working in remote team settings.

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot frameworks to ensure scalable and reliable platform performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize relational databases using SQL to support application features and improve data retrieval efficiency.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS.




- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the coding workflow to enhance productivity, code quality, and testing efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver impactful features and resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to uphold best practices and maintain high-quality standards.
