This is a Python-first Backend Developer role. Strong production experience with Python backend development (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or equivalent) is essential.

We are also looking for strong System Design and AI/LLM experience. Please apply only if your experience aligns with these core requirements.

Experience in Go, Java, .NET, or other backend technologies does not substitute for strong production Python backend experience.

What We’re Looking For

- 1–5 years of hands-on backend engineering experience building and shipping production-grade systems — not academic projects or toy applications.
- Strong production experience with Python backend development, including hands-on experience building APIs/services using FastAPI, Django, Flask, or equivalent Python backend frameworks.
- Strong System Design and backend architecture skills are essential, with hands-on experience designing scalable systems, microservices, distributed systems, APIs, databases, caching, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies, including LLM APIs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, semantic search, or AI-powered backend workflows.




- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and performance considerations.
- Strong experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and familiarity with WebSockets or real-time communication.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD, and production deployments.
- Practical experience with AWS, particularly EC2, ALB, S3, and Route 53.
- Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, databases, networking, operating systems, and performance optimization.
- Experience owning backend features end-to-end — from technical design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, debugging, and production support.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity, high ownership, and minimal supervision.
- AI-native development mindset: comfortable using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI/agentic development tools to improve engineering productivity.

Education / Company Background

- Preferred Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputed engineering institute such as IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani.
- OR prior experience at a reputed product company, high-growth startup, or leading technology organization.

The Role

We're hiring a Backend Developer who wants to build the core systems behind a category-defining AI product — not maintain someone else's legacy stack.

You'll work directly with the founding team in a lean pod structure: small, high-trust, multi-disciplinary teams that own outcomes end-to-end. No layers of approval, no waiting for a Jira ticket to thaw. You ship, you measure, you iterate.

This is an AI-native engineering org. We expect every engineer to be fluent with modern AI dev tooling — Claude Code, Cursor, agentic workflows, LLM-in-the-loop systems — not as a novelty but as the default way we build. If you're still writing every line by hand and treating AI as "cheating," this isn't the right fit. What You'll Do

- Design, build, and scale backend systems and microservices that sit at the core of our platform
- Write clean,



well-documented Python that other engineers (and AI agents) can extend
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and WebSocket services for real-time, high-performance workflows
- Own our Postgres data layer — schema design, query optimization, scaling decisions
- Deploy and maintain containerized services using Docker
- Work extensively with AWS (EC2, ALB, S3, Route 53) and own pieces of our cloud infrastructure
- Build and harden CI/CD pipelines so we can ship multiple times a day with confidence
- Pair closely with frontend engineers, PMs, and founders on architecture, product, and go-to-market decisions
- Take full ownership of features — from spec ambiguity to production telemetry — and bring strong opinions about what we should build next
