Qualifications
Domain: Shopfloor automation, machine integration, SCADA / HMI,manufacturing execution.
Essential skills

How to find and screen
- Prioritize real shopfloor / PLC / SCADA time over pure IT — this role lives onthe floor.
- Core stack: OPC UA + MQTT + Kepware / Ignition; probe depth on at leasttwo of these.
- Ask them to explain a UNS, or how they'd normalize data from three differentmachine brands.
- Lower grade (GG2.2) so slightly less experience is fine — hands-onconnectivity is non-negotiable.
Advantages
The gist The OT-side hands. Gets the machines talking, gets the data off the floor, and builds the supervision dashboards. The most shopfloor-heavy role on the pod.
