Educational Qualification
Essential:
- B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / BASLP (Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration in the relevant professional category.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hearing screening and basic audiological assessments for children and adults.
- Perform audiological procedures within the scope of professional qualification and clinical competence.
- Conduct pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and other appropriate basic audiological assessments.
- Assist in immittance audiometry, OAE, and other objective hearing assessments as per training and institutional protocols.
- Assess hearing-related concerns and assist in determining appropriate audiological management.
- Conduct hearing aid evaluation, selection, fitting, programming, and follow-up within the scope of professional competency.
- Provide basic auditory rehabilitation and hearing-related counselling.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, hearing aids, and assistive listening devices.
- Maintain accurate patient case histories, audiological reports, clinical notes,
and follow-up records.
- Monitor patient progress and provide appropriate follow-up services.
- Coordinate with ENT specialists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Participate in hearing screening camps, community outreach programs, awareness activities, and rehabilitation services.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and routine checking of audiological equipment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with professional ethics, institutional protocols, and applicable RCI guidelines.
- Participate in continuing professional development programs, workshops, seminars, and relevant clinical training.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good foundational knowledge of Audiology and hearing sciences.
- Competence in basic audiological assessment procedures.
- Knowledge of hearing aids and basic hearing rehabilitation.
- Good patient counselling and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with pediatric and adult populations.
- Good clinical documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Patient-centred approach and qualified conduct.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
