Educational Qualification
Essential:
- M.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / M.Sc. (Audiology) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration in the relevant professional category.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessment and evaluation of children and adults.
- Perform diagnostic hearing assessments using appropriate behavioral and objective audiological procedures.
- Conduct pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance audiometry, OAE, ABR/BERA, and other relevant audiological assessments as per clinical requirements.
- Assess hearing loss and determine appropriate audiological management and rehabilitation options.
- Conduct hearing aid evaluation, selection, fitting, verification, programming, and follow-up.
- Provide counselling to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and rehabilitation options.
- Provide auditory rehabilitation and hearing-related counselling as required.
- Conduct cochlear implant-related audiological assessments and follow-up, where applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient case histories, audiological reports, treatment records, and follow-up documentation.
- Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation plans as clinically indicated.
- Coordinate with ENT specialists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Pediatricians, Neurologists, Psychologists, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient management.
- Participate in hearing screening programs, camps, awareness activities, and community-based rehabilitation programs.
- Ensure appropriate infection control, equipment maintenance, calibration, and clinical safety procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with professional ethics and applicable RCI and institutional guidelines.
- Participate in continuing professional development, workshops, conferences, and relevant training programs.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in Audiology.
- Proficiency in diagnostic audiological assessment.
- Knowledge of hearing aids and assistive listening technologies.
- Positive patient counselling and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with pediatric and adult populations.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Valuable clinical documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong patient-centred approach and professional ethics.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
