Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Lead to drive the design and development of advanced industrial automation systems. The role involves handling end-to-end mechanical design, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to innovative automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Development:

- Design and develop industrial automation systems including robotic cells, conveyors, gantry systems, EOAT, and special purpose machines (SPMs)
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD tools
- Ensure designs meet performance, safety, quality, and cost requirements

Engineering Analysis & Validation:
- Perform design calculations and tolerance analysis
- Apply GD&T; principles and ensure ISO compliance
- Support prototype development and validation

Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with Electrical, Controls, Purchase, and Assembly teams




- Ensure manufacturability and cost optimization
- Coordinate with vendors for components

Project Execution:
- Manage project timelines and deliverables
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments
- Support installation and commissioning

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify design optimization opportunities
- Stay updated with automation and manufacturing trends

Qualifications:

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
- 6 to 12 years in mechanical design
- Experience in industrial automation / robotics / SPM

Technical Skills:
- CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA
- Automation system design
- Pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal)
- Basic FEA knowledge preferred
