Role description

The HR Generalist is responsible for delivering expert People & Culture support and managing key employee lifecycle programs within a global shared services environment. Partnering with HRBPs and business stakeholders, this role drives the effective execution of HR programs, provides guidance on complex employee matters, and ensures consistent, high-quality employee experience across all entities. At the center of the employee lifecycle, the HR Generalist is responsible for administering and enhancing core People Operations activities across multiple jurisdictions. Areas of focus include employee transactions and lifecycle events, promotions, employee support, HR systems administration, compliance activities, and employee data governance, ensuring services are delivered consistently and in alignment with global standards and local requirements. Through a customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach, the HR Generalist balances business needs, employee experience, and compliance while driving high-quality service delivery.

The role also plays a critical part in strengthening processes, improving operational efficiency, and advancing operational excellence across the Global People Operations function.

Core Responsibilities

- Serve as a trusted People & Culture resource by providing guidance on policies, programs, employee lifecycle processes, and employee inquiries, ensuring a positive and seamless employee experience across multiple jurisdictions.
- Execute and oversee employee lifecycle activities, including workforce changes, promotions, compensation updates, employee documentation, and separations through HR Help Desk platforms, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level expectations.
- Manage employee cases and service requests, researching and resolving inquiries while maintaining a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, including Perks, Employee Relations, Immigration, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Learning teams, to resolve or assist employees related to cross-functional employee matters and support business priorities.
- Maintain the integrity of employee data and HR systems through transaction processing, audits, record maintenance, quality reviews, and adherence to data governance standards.




- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards through accurate administration and process execution.
- Produce, analyze, and interpret People & Culture metrics, operational reports, and workforce data to support business decisions, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and self-service resources that promote consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements by leveraging HR technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and employee experience.
- Develop expertise in assigned People Operations processes and provide guidance, training, and support to employees and team members while promoting standardization and best practices.
- Participate in projects and strategic initiatives, including technology implementations, process transformations, acquisitions/integrations, and organizational changes that strengthen the Global People Operations operating model.
- Build knowledge of the firm's strategy, service lines, and business priorities to effectively support organizational objectives and contribute to an exceptional employee experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications (Personal Characteristics, Skills/Abilities, Academic):

- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, People Operations, or shared services workplace.
- Experience supporting complex employee lifecycle processes across multiple jurisdictions, including employee transactions, workforce changes, employee data management, and compliance activities.
- Experience serving as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex employee lifecycle processes, employee inquiries,



and operational issues.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands and support multiple stakeholders across different business areas
- Highly team-oriented and action-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and influence within a matrixed organization
- Strong initiative and accountability, with a hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership
- Excellent customer service, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional, and onshore/offshore teams
- Professionalism and results orientation, with a commitment to continuous learning and development
- Operational mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to solve problems and drive execution
- Experience in HR/ ERP tools/ systems (preferably Oracle), service management platforms, and related technologies for at least 1 year
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies, resolve complex employee issues, and manage competing priorities
- Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerBI, Macros).
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for enhancing processes, service delivery, and employee experience.
