An Assistant Trade Marketing Manager acts as a bridge between the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure effective execution of brand and promotional activities in the market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Promotion Planning
- Develop and execute trade marketing campaigns.
- Plan consumer offers, retailer schemes, and seasonal promotions.
- Ensure promotions drive sales and market share growth.
2. Sales Support
- Provide sales teams with promotional materials and merchandising tools.
- Coordinate launch activities for new products.
- Support achievement of sales targets through market activation.
3. Channel Management
- Work closely with Contemporary Trade, General Trade, and E-commerce channels.
- Design channel-specific promotional plans and visibility programs.
- Monitor implementation across stores and regions.
4. Merchandising & Visibility
- Improve in-store visibility through POSM (Point of Sale Materials).
- Ensure proper product placement, display execution, and planogram compliance.
- Coordinate with agencies for branding and retail activation.
5. Market Analysis
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data.
- Track promotion effectiveness and ROI.
- Provide recommendations for improving trade initiatives.
6. Budget Management
- Assist in managing trade marketing budgets.
- Monitor spending against approved plans.
- Ensure cost-effective execution of campaigns.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and external agencies.
- Ensure timely availability of promotional materials and products.
Typical FMCG Experience Requirement
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Category Management, or Channel Marketing within FMCG companies.Role & responsibilities
