Role & responsibilities

Responsible to coordinate between the engineers at construction site and the procurement department to ensure the required material reached the site in a timely manner and construction work proceeds smoothly.

Coordinate with the project manager and engineers and understand the construction plan. Accordingly indent for the required construction material to ensure that they are received on time.

Follow up with the procurement dept. for the PO and other required details. Ensure that all the material as per the PO is received.

Maintain the stock register: Update the DMR records (Daily Material Received) when the material is received as well as used. Ensure that the physical stock tallies with the records.

As and when the need be, arrange for the local purchases (from petty cash), such as faucets, pipes, bulbs, etc. Generate the vouchers accordingly and get the same approved by Project Manager and Chief Engineer. Send the same for accounting.

Receive and issue goods to contractor

Keeping records of each transaction and ensure smooth operations.
