ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in Store/Outlet Operations, preferably in FMCG, Retail, Food & Beverage, or similar operations.

Job Summary

Keventers Venture Ltd. is looking for an experienced and responsible Assistant Store Manager to support the overall management and daily operations of our Tollygunge outlet in Kolkata.

The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in team management, sales, inventory, customer service, cash management, staff coordination, and operational compliance. The candidate should be capable of independently handling outlet operations in the Store Manager's absence.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore & Outlet Operations

- Assist the Store Manager in managing complete day-to-day outlet operations.
- Ensure smooth opening, operating, and closing procedures.
- Supervise daily activities and ensure operational targets are achieved.
- Ensure all company SOPs, policies, and standards are followed.
- Coordinate with Shift Managers and Senior Crew Members to maintain smooth operations.
- Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Team Management
- Supervise and coordinate Shift Managers, Senior Crew Members, and Crew Members.
- Ensure proper manpower planning and duty allocation.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline, and staff performance.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Conduct regular team briefings and communicate company updates.
- Address staff concerns and maintain a productive work environment.

Sales & Business Performance
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Work with the Store Manager to achieve sales and operational targets.
- Analyze sales trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure effective customer service and smooth order processing.
- Handle escalated customer complaints professionally.




- Support promotional activities and company campaigns at the outlet.

Inventory & Stock Management
- Oversee daily inventory and stock management.
- Ensure sufficient stock availability and timely replenishment.
- Monitor receiving, storage, stock movement, and stock issuance.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconciliation.
- Monitor wastage, damages, shortages, and stock variances.
- Implement measures to minimize wastage and inventory losses.
- Coordinate with the procurement/supply team when required.

Cash & Financial Operations
- Supervise daily billing and cash-handling procedures.
- Monitor POS operations and ensure billing accuracy.
- Verify cash, card, and UPI transactions.
- Review daily sales and cash reconciliation reports.
- Ensure proper cash handover and documentation.
- Report discrepancies or irregularities to the Store Manager.

Customer Experience
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Monitor service speed, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the outlet consistently delivers the company's expected customer experience.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure the outlet maintains excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of operational and customer areas.
- Ensure employees follow grooming, hygiene, food-safety, and workplace-safety standards.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
- Report maintenance, safety, or compliance issues to management.

Reporting & Administration




- Prepare and review daily operational reports.
- Monitor sales, inventory, wastage, attendance, and other key operational data.
- Maintain required store documentation and records.
- Provide regular updates to the Store Manager/Area Manager.
- Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts.
- Assist the Store Manager in implementing company initiatives and operational improvements.

Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Store/Outlet Operations, preferably with supervisory or shift-management experience.

Leadership: Strong team-management and people-handling skills.

Operations: Good understanding of FMCG, retail, food & beverage, or similar outlet operations.

Sales: Ability to monitor sales performance and support achievement of business targets.

Inventory: Strong understanding of stock management, reconciliation, wastage control, and inventory handling.

Cash & POS: Knowledge of POS systems, billing, cash handling, and digital payment processes.

Customer Service: Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach.

Reporting: Basic knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting.

Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi, Bengali, or English.

Personal Qualities: Responsible, organized, proactive, disciplined, and capable of handling pressure.

Salary: Competitive monthly salary based on experience, skills, and interview performance.

Working Hours: Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays as per operational requirements.

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
