Location: Chakan, Pune

Job Purpose To manage and control the complete production activities for microwave antenna assembly and ensure production targets are achieved as per customer requirements, production plans, quality standards and delivery schedules.

The Production Manager will be responsible for effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials and production facilities while maintaining productivity, quality, safety and timely completion of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

· Execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans prepared by PPC.

· Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.

· Ensure timely assembly of microwave antenna products as per approved production schedule.

· Monitor production of different antenna models and sizes as per customer requirements.

· Ensure proper production sequencing to avoid unnecessary changeover and delays.

· Monitor actual production against planned production and take corrective actions.

· Ensure timely completion of production orders for dispatch.

1. Microwave Antenna Assembly

· Supervise assembly activities for microwave antenna products and sub-assemblies. · Ensure proper assembly of reflector, radome, bracket, feeder, OMT and other antenna components as applicable.

· Ensure assembly is carried out according to approved drawings, work instructions, SOPs and specifications.

· Ensure correct use and identification of China-supplied semi-finished materials.

· Monitor assembly of different antenna sizes such as 1.2 m, 0.9 m, 0.6 m, 0.3 m and E-band products.

· Ensure proper handling, storage and traceability of semi-finished and finished products.

1. Manpower Management

· Allocate operators/helpers to different production activities. · Monitor manpower attendance, utilization and productivity.

· Identify manpower shortages and inform management/PPC in advance.

· Train and guide operators regarding assembly methods, SOPs and quality requirements.

· Monitor operator performance and discipline.





· Ensure effective utilization of contract labour and company employees.

1. Productivity & Efficiency

· Monitor daily production quantity and productivity. · Establish and monitor production targets for operators/lines.

· Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

· Reduce idle time, waiting time, rework and unnecessary movement of materials.

· Improve production efficiency and reduce production losses.

· Maintain daily production records and production performance reports.

1. Quality Control

· Coordinate with QA/QC during production. · Ensure production is carried out according to approved quality standards.

· Monitor rejection, rework and process-related quality issues.

· Ensure defective materials/products are properly identified and segregated.

· Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality problems.

· Ensure first-piece/inspection requirements are followed wherever applicable.

· Prevent quality issues from reaching the finished-goods/dispatch stage.

1. Material Management

· Coordinate with Stores and PPC for availability of required semi-finished materials and components. · Ensure materials issued to production are correct as per production requirements.

· Monitor material consumption and avoid unnecessary wastage.

· Report shortages, damages or discrepancies in China-supplied semi-finished materials.

· Ensure proper handling of locally purchased packaging materials during production/packing.

· Coordinate with Stores for timely movement of RM, semi-finished material, WIP and FG.

1. Packaging & Dispatch Readiness

· Coordinate with PPC/Stores for availability of required packaging materials. · Ensure finished antennas are properly packed as per approved packaging requirements.

· Ensure correct product identification, labelling and packing.

· Coordinate with Quality and Logistics to ensure products are ready for dispatch.





· Ensure packing activities are completed according to dispatch priorities.

1. Safety & 5S

· Ensure employees follow safety rules and PPE requirements. · Maintain workplace 5S and proper housekeeping.

· Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.

· Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and finished products.

· Support safety training and compliance activities.

1. Reporting

Prepare and submit regular reports including: · Daily production report

· Plan vs. actual production

· Manpower utilization

· Productivity report

· Rejection and rework report

· Material shortage report

· WIP status

· Production downtime/bottleneck report

· Dispatch readiness status

1. Cross-Functional Coordination

· Coordinate closely with PPC, Stores, Purchase, QA/QC, Engineering and Logistics. · Provide production status and issues to management.

· Support urgent customer requirements and priority orders.

· Participate in daily production review meetings.

· Support new product introduction and process improvement activities.

Qualification & Experience

· Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related field.

· Experience in manufacturing/assembly operations preferred.

· Experience in antenna, telecom, sheet-metal, mechanical assembly or similar manufacturing industry will be an advantage.

· Valuable knowledge of production processes, manpower management and quality control.

· Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
