Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager to support production planning, shop-floor operations and timely execution of manufacturing orders. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC), labour handling, ERP-based production monitoring and team coordination.

Candidates with experience in Handicrafts, Hardgoods or Export Manufacturing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor daily production activities as per production plans and order requirements.
- Plan and allocate work to labour and production teams.
- Monitor production targets, productivity, quality and work progress.
- Ensure production schedules and order deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Dispatch and other departments for smooth production operations.
- Update and monitor production activities through the ERP system.
- Track production status and follow up on pending activities.
- Ensure timely execution of customer/export orders.
- Handle day-to-day shop-floor operational issues and coordinate for their resolution.
- Monitor labour utilization, productivity and work allocation.
- Support the Production Manager in planning, execution and process improvement.
- Maintain proper production records and reports.




- Ensure smooth coordination between production planning and shop-floor execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Production / Manufacturing / Production Planning & Control.
- Degree in Engineering preferred.
- ERP knowledge is mandatory.
- Robust experience in labour handling and shop-floor management.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning, follow-up and execution abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple production activities and meet strict deadlines.
- Hands-on approach to solving shop-floor operational issues.
- Experience in Handicrafts / Hardgoods / Export Manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Own conveyance is mandatory for this role.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates who have worked in export-oriented manufacturing environments and have practical experience managing production teams, labour, ERP updates and daily shop-floor operations will be preferred.
