About The Role

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to take ownership of revenue assurance, financial reporting, and subsidiary controllership across our Indian and international entities. The role sits within the Controllership function and works closely with business, legal, tax advisors, and statutory auditors. It is a high-visibility position requiring both technical depth in accounting and reporting standards and the commercial judgement to partner effectively with the business.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Revenue

Assurance

- Own end-to-end revenue recognition in accordance with Ind AS 115 / ASC 606, including contract review, identification of performance obligations, and treatment of variable consideration
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing against contracts; drive monthly reconciliation of bookings, billings, revenue, and deferred revenue
- Monitor unbilled revenue, credit notes, and revenue leakage; establish and strengthen controls across the order-to-cash cycle
- Support ARR/MRR reporting and reconciliation between management metrics and reported revenue
- US Taxation
- Manage federal and state tax compliance for the US subsidiary, including coordination of corporate income tax returns, franchise taxes, sales & use tax, and state registrations/nexus assessments
- Liaise with US tax advisors on estimated payments, extensions, and filings; track deadlines across jurisdictions
- Support tax provisioning (current and deferred) for US GAAP/group reporting purposes
- Assist with withholding tax matters, W-8/W-9 documentation, and Form 1099 compliance
- 409A Valuation – US
- Coordinate the periodic 409A valuation exercise with external valuation firms
- Prepare and validate inputs — financial projections, cap table, comparable company data, and recent transaction details
- Review draft valuation reports, challenge key assumptions, and ensure timely finalization to support ESOP/stock option grants
- Maintain documentation supporting the valuation for audit and regulatory purposes
- Preparation of Financial Statements

- Prepare standalone financial statements under Ind AS (and local GAAP for overseas entities as applicable).
- Own the month-end and year-end close process for assigned entities — accruals, provisions, schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations with respective stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact for statutory auditors; drive timely closure of audit queries and finalization of audited financials
- Prepare group consolidated financial statements under Ind AS/IFRS, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and minority interest computations where applicable
- Subsidiary Controllership
- Act as controller for overseas subsidiaries (US and South Africa), owning their books, local compliance calendar, and coordination with local accountants/advisors
- Ensure adherence to local statutory, tax, and payroll-related filing requirements in coordination with in-country service providers
- Support transfer pricing compliance for intercompany arrangements, including documentation and coordination with TP advisors
- Oversee banking, treasury operations, and fund flows for subsidiary entities

Candidate Profile Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA); CPA or equivalent qualification is a strong plus

Experience

- 3–4 years of post-qualification experience, with meaningful exposure to revenue recognition (Ind AS 115 / ASC 606), consolidation, and multi-entity controllership
- Hands-on experience with US tax compliance and/or working with US subsidiaries of Indian companies is added advantage
- Exposure to 409A valuations, ESOP accounting, or startup fundraising environments is an advantage

Skills & Attributes

- Strong technical grounding in Ind AS/IFRS; working knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems and revenue/billing tools
- Ability to manage external stakeholders — auditors, tax advisors, valuers — independently and to deadlines
- Commercial mindset with the ability to see beyond compliance to business impact
- High ownership, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, multi-entity setting
