About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Pricing to manage the pricing function for our Freight Forwarding business.

The role will be responsible for freight rate procurement, quotation preparation, rate negotiation, RFQ/tender management, margin control, and sales support for Sea Freight and Air Freight business.

Key Responsibilities :

- Prepare competitive and accurate quotations for Sea Freight, Air Freight, FCL, LCL, Import & Export and related logistics services.
- Obtain, compare and negotiate freight rates with Shipping Lines, Airlines, NVOCCs, Overseas Agents, Transporters, CFS/ICD and other vendors.
- Calculate logistics costs, selling rates and ensure required gross margins are maintained.
- Support the Sales team with new business, RFQs, tenders and customer-specific pricing.
- Monitor freight market movements, surcharges and changes in carrier/vendor rates.
- Maintain and regularly update freight rate databases and pricing records.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to ensure quoted rates are commercially and operationally feasible.
- Identify low-margin opportunities and ensure appropriate approvals before submission.
- Prepare pricing reports/MIS related to quotations, RFQs, margins and rate movements.




- Guide and supervise junior pricing team members.

Candidate Profile

Qualification:

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or Marketing will be an advantage.
- Freight Forwarding/Shipping/Logistics certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

- Assistant Manager: 4–7 years of relevant experience.
- Deputy Manager: 6–9 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in Freight Forwarding Pricing, Sea Freight/Air Freight Pricing and RFQ Management is preferred.

Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Freight Forwarding Pricing & Tariff Structures
- Good understanding of FCL, LCL, Air Freight, Import & Export
- Strong rate negotiation and commercial skills
- Excellent analytical and costing abilities
- Good knowledge of freight surcharges and local charges
- Strong MS Excel and MIS skills
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead and guide junior team members
