Design Huez is a fast-growing Concept-driven luxury residential interior design studio based in Mumbai, led by Principal Designer Sonam Mittal. We craft thoughtful, high-end residential interiors with a focus on compact Mumbai high-rises. Our design philosophy balances flawless execution with authentic comfort, engineering environments that feel collected, not decorated.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the design and site teams to translate concepts into clear 2D technical drawings, assist with material selections, and ensure on-site execution runs smoothly across our residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draft accurate 2D spatial layouts, furniture layouts, electrical drawings, and detailed working drawings.
2. Assist in curating and sourcing materials, surface finishes, fabrics, and hardware fittings.
3. Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, vendors, and site supervisors to bridge the gap between drawings and on-site realities.
4. Conduct regular site visits across Mumbai to track project progress, resolve site challenges, and take accurate measurements.

Assist in assembling client presentations, sample trays, and mood boards.

Requirements & Skills:

1. Drafting Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and working drawings.
2. Material Knowledge: Solid understanding of residential materials, laminates, veneers, hardware, and modular detailing.
3. Site Sensibility: Comfort working on active sites, reviewing physical execution, and communicating practical solutions to on-ground teams.
4. Communication: Clear, organized verbal and written communication when liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal leads.
5. Mindset: A curious, detail-oriented skilled who takes ownership of tasks and thrives in a collaborative studio setting.
