Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager/General Manager – Architecture with 15+ years of experience in architecture and interior fit-out projects, with strong exposure to corporate offices, healthcare, hospitality, and large-scale commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to the Architecture and Design function, overseeing projects from concept development through design, coordination, execution, and completion. The role requires strong leadership, client management, project coordination, design expertise, and the ability to drive quality, timelines, and commercial objectives.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of interior fit-out methodologies and be capable of managing multiple projects and leading a team of architects, interior designers, and technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Architectural Leadership

- Lead the development of architectural and interior design concepts in line with client requirements, project objectives, and business expectations.
- Review and approve design concepts, space planning, layouts, elevations, sections, details, and working drawings.
- Ensure design solutions are practical, innovative, cost-effective, and suitable for execution.
- Provide strategic direction on design development, materials, finishes, furniture, and technical detailing.
- Ensure consistency and quality of design standards across all projects.

1. Project Management & Delivery

- Oversee multiple architecture and interior fit-out projects from concept to execution and handover.
- Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, quality standards, budgets, and client expectations.
- Ensure timely closure of design deliverables, drawings, approvals, material selections, and technical queries.
- Identify project risks and proactively implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Teams, MEP Consultants, Procurement, Vendors, Contractors, and other stakeholders.

1. Client & Consultant Management

- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and consultants.
- Lead client presentations, design reviews, project meetings, and negotiations.
- Understand client expectations and translate them into effective design and execution strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients,



consultants, contractors, and business partners.
- Resolve design, technical, and project-related concerns in a timely and qualified manner.

1. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, manage, and mentor architects, interior designers, and drafting teams.
- Allocate resources and responsibilities based on project requirements and priorities.
- Review team performance, deliverables, productivity, and quality of work.
- Develop processes, standards, and best practices for the Architecture and Design function.
- Encourage collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

1. Technical & Quality Control

- Review architectural and interior drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, fire and life-safety requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure proper coordination between architectural, interior, structural, MEP, and other services.
- Conduct design audits and site visits to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Identify and resolve technical and design-related issues arising during project execution.

1. Commercial & Business Support

- Support project teams in maintaining project budgets and controlling design-related costs.
- Review and provide inputs on BOQs, specifications, material selections, and value-engineering proposals.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Vendors to ensure materials and finishes meet approved design and commercial requirements.
- Support the management in new business opportunities, design proposals, and client presentations.
- Contribute to improving project profitability through efficient design and execution strategies.

1. Process & Strategic Development

- Establish and continuously improve design standards, workflows, templates, and documentation processes.
- Drive adoption of technology and digital tools to improve design productivity and project coordination.




- Support management in developing the company's architectural and design capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and improved project delivery.
- Maintain awareness of current design trends, materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably with significant experience in interior fit-out and commercial projects.
- Proven experience in Corporate Offices, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of architecture, interior design, construction methodologies, materials, finishes, and detailing.
- Strong understanding of complete project lifecycle from concept, design development, tendering, execution, and handover.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop, MS Office, or equivalent design and documentation software.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, detailing, BOQs, specifications, and design coordination.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Robust commercial and business understanding.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale or multiple fit-out projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with leading corporate, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial clients.
- Exposure to project budgeting, tendering, procurement, vendor management, and contract coordination.
- Experience in design management or leadership roles within an interior fit-out organization.
- Strong understanding of local building regulations, fire & life-safety requirements, and statutory approvals.
