Role Description The Architect role at AMA is a full-time, on-site position based in the Alipore, Kolkata. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural designs from concept through detailed drawings, coordinating with internal disciplines on interiors, landscape, engineering, and BIM, and ensuring design solutions are aligned with client requirements and commercial objectives. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design presentations, technical drawings, and documentation; participating in project meetings; supporting site coordination; and collaborating with project managers to track timelines and deliverables.

The role also involves reviewing designs for buildability,



compliance with regional norms and codes, and integration with engineering and BIM models, while upholding AMA’s standards for clarity, efficiency, and long-term value.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate client requirements into commercially intelligent, buildable solutions.
- Experience in Project Management, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams, timeline tracking, and documentation control.
- Familiarity with Software Development and Integration concepts in the context of BIM-enabled workflows, design tools, and collaborative platforms.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, or similar), and comfort working in a technology-enabled environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional registration or eligibility is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and real estate development practices, preferably within Indian urban and Tier-2 contexts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visualization skills, with attention to detail and an ability to balance design quality with commercial considerations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, consultants, and cross-functional internal teams on-site.
