About The Role The Application Engineer I at CIRCOR is a vital member of the sales and engineering team based in Coimbatore, India. This role involves supporting and collaborating with customers, including distributors, agents, and end-users, to provide tailored flow control solutions. Under the guidance of the Project Manager and Sales Head, the Application Engineer responds to customer inquiries, develops technical proposals, and identifies suitable equipment configurations to meet specific application requirements.

The position demands a proactive approach to technical support, solution design, and customer engagement, ensuring that the products specified align with both customer needs and company standards.

The Application

Engineer acts as a technical bridge between the sales team and customers, facilitating seamless communication and delivering engineered solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the pneumatic valve industry or related fields is required.



Demonstrated knowledge of international standards and specifications related to pneumatic systems, materials, and application knowledge is essential.

Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with ERP software, is preferred. Candidates should exhibit strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret technical data effectively.

Experience working with overseas customers, handling large accounts or projects independently, and understanding KPI and data analysis will be advantageous. The candidate should also demonstrate soft skills such as team building, negotiation, problem-solving, and effective presentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Support customer inquiries by providing technical assistance and product recommendations tailored to their specific applications.
- Assist in sizing and selecting pneumatic regulators, stop valves, relief valves, non-return valves, filters, and other pressure-related products based on technical specifications and customer needs.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, including estimates and quotes, ensuring alignment with company profitability and quality standards.
- Analyze customer specifications, inquiry data sheets, and application requirements to determine suitable product configurations and solutions.
- Collaborate with sales and product managers to develop customized technical solutions that meet functional and performance criteria.




- Provide technical support during the detailed engineering phase of projects, ensuring proper integration of products into customer systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quotes, inquiries, and technical correspondence for internal and external records.
- Engage directly with customers, understanding their requirements, and offering appropriate product and system solutions.
- Review and evaluate customer inquiries and specifications to develop formal proposals and quotations.
- Respond promptly to technical questions from customers, providing application assistance and product guidance.
- Stay updated with industry standards, product developments, and technological advancements to maintain technical competency.
- Support the sales team in achieving business targets by contributing technical expertise and customer relationship management.
