We are looking for an experienced Automotive Android / Communication Middleware Engineer to join the Communication Middleware Framework Software Development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and debugging software components across Linux, Device Drivers, AOSP, Android Framework, Middleware, HMI and Application layers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop C/C++ based software components for automotive Android/Linux platforms.
- Develop and debug software at Linux kernel, device-driver and lower layers.
- Work on AOSP customization, Android HAL, native services and Android Framework.
- Develop and integrate communication middleware/framework components between lower-level platform software and upper-layer applications.
- Work across different layers including:
- Linux Kernel / Device Driver
- BSP / HAL
- AOSP / Native Services
- Android Framework / Middleware
- HMI
- Android Application layer
- Develop and integrate IPC and inter-process communication mechanisms such as Binder/AIDL.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to communication, middleware, framework and platform integration.
- Support integration between hardware, Linux, Android platform and HMI/application layers.
- Debug system-level issues using tools such as ADB, GDB, logcat, dumpsys,



Perfetto and kernel logs.
- Work closely with BSP, HAL, Android Framework, HMI and Application teams.
- Participate in architecture/design discussions, code reviews, integration and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform root-cause analysis for issues occurring across different software layers.
- Support automotive infotainment/cockpit platform development.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong programming experience in C and C++
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Hands-on experience in Linux Kernel / Device Driver development
- Positive understanding of AOSP architecture
- Experience with Android HAL / HIDL / AIDL
- Knowledge of Android Framework and native services
- Experience in middleware/framework software development
- Understanding of IPC / Binder communication
- Experience working across lower-level platform to Android application layer
- Good understanding of multithreading, synchronization and memory management
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Automotive / Infotainment / Cockpit experience preferred
