Role: AIX Admin /n Required Technical Skill Set: Knowledge on HACMP, NIM, VIO & Powervc, VI, Powervm, shell script, HMC /n Experience: 7-10 years /n Location: Chennai /n Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) /n Must-Have /n (Ideally should not be more than 3-5) /n /n

- Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.

/n

- Support AIX OS to run various software applications.

/n

- Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.

/n

- Install and test AIX OS patches.

/n

- Develop procedures for AIX security and management.

/n

- Working knowledge on Administration of LPARs/DLPARs, HMC, NIM Servers, VIO servers & Powervc

/n

- Should have excellent knowledge and hands-on in IBM HACMP Clusters with trouble shooting.

/n /n Good-to-Have /n /n

- Minimum of 8 years' experience in AIX domain.

/n

- Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional issues.

/n





- Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, and maintenance of AIX systems software and related hardware.

/n

- Good working knowledge on LPAR/DLPARs

/n

- Good working knowledge on NIM & HMC

/n

- Good working knowledge on VIO server & Powervc

/n

- Good working knowledge on IBM HACMP clusters.

/n

- Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system setting

/n /n Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role /n 1 /n An ability to lead the AIX operational team and drive the SLA/OLA concerned /n 2 /n Escalation of problems in a timely manner as per the defined escalation matrix. /n 3 /n Ability to communicate technical contents clearly and good on vendor co-ordination.
