Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Chartered Accountant to lead the organisation’s complete Finance, Accounts & Controls function.
The ideal candidate will act as the company’s finance control centre, with strong ownership of books, project/entity-wise accounting, cash-flow management, MIS, banking, taxation, compliance, financial controls, and management reporting.
This is a hands-on finance leadership role, not a review-only position. The candidate should be comfortable working at transaction and system level while converting financial data into clear, promoter-level business insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Accounting
- Take complete ownership of the organisation’s finance and accounting function across current and future projects/entities.
- Manage multi-entity accounting, including LLPs and Private Limited entities.
- Ensure accurate project-wise and entity-wise accounting and financial visibility.
- Own monthly closing and ensure books are complete, accurate, and properly reconciled.
- Establish and maintain a single, reliable financial view covering:
- Balance Sheet
- P&L;
- Cash Flow
- Project Cost
- Payables & Receivables
- Lease Income
- Bank Balances
- Loans
- Financial Commitments
Management Reporting & MIS
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for management/promoters.
- Prepare daily cash movement reports and weekly management reports.
- Drive monthly MIS and financial close.
- Develop key financial metrics and business performance reports.
- Present financial information in a simple, clear, and decision-oriented format for non-finance stakeholders.
- Analyse financial trends and highlight risks, gaps, opportunities, and required management actions.
Cash Flow & Financial Planning
- Prepare and monitor an immediate 7-day cash outflow calendar.
- Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast.
- Prepare 6–12 month cost and funding forecasts.
- Monitor available funds, upcoming obligations, project requirements, and future funding needs.
- Ensure timely availability of funds for project, operational, statutory, and financial commitments.
- Support management in liquidity and funding decisions.
Financial Controls
- Establish solid controls over every transaction and entity.
- Ensure correct entity/project tagging, approvals, supporting documentation, and maker-checker controls.
- Prevent unauthorised inter-company transfers.
- Conduct monthly inter-entity reconciliation.
- Ensure complete document traceability and audit-ready financial records.
- Strengthen financial processes, approval matrices, audit trails, and closing controls.
Payments, Receivables & Obligations
- Review and control:
- Vendor and contractor payments
- Employee/operational expenses
- Lease receipts
- Receivables and payables
- Tax payments
- Loan repayments
- Interest payments
- Other recurring financial commitments
- Ensure payments are supported by appropriate approvals and documentation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and drive timely collections/payments.
Banking & Fund Raising
- Take ownership of the finance side of banking and financing activities.
- Prepare and manage DPRs, CMA data, financial projections, documentation, financial vetting, sanction conditions, disbursements, utilisation, covenants, and repayment tracking.
- Handle financial requirements related to:
- Term Loans
- Project Finance
- OD/CC Facilities
- Bank Guarantees
- LAP
- Other similar financial facilities
- Coordinate effectively with banks, auditors, partner CAs/CSs, and financial institutions.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Oversee GST, TDS, property/registry TDS, income-tax support, MCA/ROC/LLP compliance, audits, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive statutory compliance calendar.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants, CAs, CSs, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify opportunities for compliant tax optimisation while ensuring complete statutory compliance.
Commercial & Agreement Review
- Review major commercial, banking, JV, investment, and other agreements from a financial perspective.

- Cash-flow impact
- Maintain an obligation register and ensure all financial commitments are tracked.
Team & Process Management
- Lead, train, review, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Ensure accountants and finance staff follow standardised processes and controls.
- Conduct final finance verification after work certification/payment workflows.
- Maintain vendor reconciliation, documentation, system discipline, and audit readiness.
- Build a scalable finance function that is not dependent on individual team members.
Technology & Tools
- Power BI: Ability to personally build and maintain management dashboards, data models, drill-downs, and recurring reports.
- Advanced Excel / Power Query: Strong capability in forecasting, reconciliation, financial modelling, scenario analysis, and management reporting.
- Tally Prime / ERP:
Strong Tally Prime knowledge with exposure to modern ERP and workflow systems.
- Ability to define and manage masters, user rights, approval workflows, audit trails, and financial closing controls.
- Comfortable with automated reconciliations, digital approvals, document management, data imports/APIs, and AI-assisted financial analysis.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have:
- CA qualification with 7–12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, or similar project-based businesses.
- Hands-on experience in multi-entity accounting and financial control.
- Proven ownership of monthly closing, cash-flow management, MIS, banking/loan documentation, and management reporting.
- Experience managing multiple LLPs/Pvt. Ltd. entities and project-wise accounting.
- Strong commercial and business understanding along with technical accounting expertise.
- Ability to personally build and manage financial dashboards, reporting systems, and control mechanisms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills to work with promoters, banks, auditors, CAs, CSs, consultants, and internal teams.
What We Are NOT Looking For
- Review-only Accounts Heads who depend on juniors for detailed financial understanding.
- Traditional Tally-only profiles with weak exposure to Power BI, ERP, automation, and financial systems.
- Pure taxation/compliance-focused CAs with limited cash-flow, project accounting, or commercial experience.
- Candidates who are casual about entity-wise controls, approvals, reconciliation, and documentation.
Recruiter Screening / Assessment
Shortlisted candidates should be evaluated on:
- Dashboard Assessment: Ask the candidate to demonstrate a Power BI/Excel management dashboard personally built, including source data, refresh process, and decisions supported.
- Multi-Entity Control: Given 10–15 LLPs/entities, explain how they would prevent wrong-entity payments and maintain monthly inter-company reconciliation.
- Cash-Flow Assessment: Build the structure of a 13-week cash-flow forecast and explain how it connects to annual funding requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide a messy trial balance and ask the candidate to explain how they would convert it into a one-page promoter-level business health report.
