Admission Counsellor

Institute of Hospitality and Cruise (IHC) is looking for a confident, motivated, and skilled Admission Counsellor to join our team in Siliguri.

The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, handling admission enquiries, generating new leads, and converting enquiries into admissions. The role will also involve field visits and student outreach activities whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding IHC courses, eligibility, fees, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, and walk-in visitors.
- Follow up with prospective students and parents to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Generate new admission leads through calls, referrals, local outreach, and other promotional activities.
- Conductfield visits to schools, colleges, institutions, and other locations for student outreach and new admissions when required.
- Participate in admission drives, seminars, presentations, counselling sessions, and promotional activities.
- Maintain records of enquiries, follow-ups, applications, and admissions.
- Assist students with the admission process and required documentation.
- Coordinate with the institute team regarding student enrolment and admission-related activities.




- Work towards achieving monthly admission targets.
- Represent IHC professionally and maintain good relationships with students, parents, and external institutions.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Minimum Higher Secondary (12th) pass; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently counsel and interact with students and parents.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Candidates comfortable with local field visits will be preferred.
- Knowledge of English, Hindi, Bengali and/or Nepali will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in admission counselling, sales, education, hospitality, customer service, or tele-calling will be an added advantage.
- Candidates should be presentable, courteous, target-oriented, and willing to take initiative.
