Position Summary-

We are looking for an Actuarial Developer / Actuarial Software Engineer with strong experience in C# and .NET along with a good understanding of actuarial calculations, Excel spreadsheets, and the insurance domain.

The role involves developing and maintaining actuarial calculation software, APIs, and calculation engines using modern .NET technologies. You will work closely with actuarial, engineering, product, and QA teams to build accurate, scalable, and reliable insurance solutions.

Key Skills

- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
- Experience in Web APIs and service-oriented architecture
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Good experience with SQL / SQL Server
- Knowledge of SQL query optimization, data modelling, and performance
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet analysis skills
- Ability to understand and validate complex Excel formulas and calculations
- Experience translating spreadsheet-based calculation logic into software
- Good understanding of Actuarial calculations
- Experience in the Insurance domain
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong attention to detail, especially for financial and actuarial calculations

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop,



and maintain actuarial calculation modules using C# and .NET
- Translate actuarial specifications, rate tables, and Excel-based models into robust software components
- Develop and enhance APIs and calculation services for insurance illustration and quoting platforms
- Validate actuarial and financial calculations for accuracy and consistency
- Write unit tests and support automated testing to ensure calculation integrity
- Debug and resolve application and calculation-related issues
- Collaborate with actuarial, product, QA, and engineering teams
- Maintain technical and actuarial documentation
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, auditable, and maintainable
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities
- Work effectively with distributed India and US teams

Good to Have
- Experience with insurance illustration or actuarial systems
- Exposure to Life Insurance, Annuity, or Retirement products
- Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM technologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with performance optimization, caching, and asynchronous processing
- Basic understanding of application security and data protection
- Ability to work directly with customers to understand and validate calculation logic
