This is a remote position.

Role Overview

We are looking for interns who have a basic understanding of accounting and Excel and are interested in working on accounting data, data cleaning, and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and organize accounting data received from clients.

- Identify and correct duplicate, incomplete, or incorrectly formatted data.

- Standardize customer, vendor, item, ledger, and transaction data.

- Review and verify data before importing it into accounting software.

- Perform basic Excel tasks such as sorting, filtering, formatting, removing duplicates, and using basic formulas.

- Assist in data migration and data entry activities.

- Maintain accuracy and consistency of financial data.

- Assist the team with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping-related tasks.

- Follow defined processes and maintain proper documentation of the work completed.

Duration: 2-3 Months

Requirements

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping.

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, particularly data sorting, filtering, formatting, and data cleaning.

- Good attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in data.

- Basic understanding of accounting terminology such as ledgers, customers, vendors, invoices, payments, and expenses.





- Willingness to learn accounting software and recent processes.

Preferred / Added Advantage
- Knowledge of Zoho Books or any other accounting software.

- Basic knowledge of Tally.

- Prior experience with accounting data migration or data cleaning.

- B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / equivalent students or recent graduates.
