About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant for our alcohol manufacturing and distillery business who can independently manage Accounts, Banking, Taxation, Excise-related accounting, Reconciliation and basic Finance activities.

Tally Prime is mandatory.

The candidate should have practical knowledge of complete accounting and preferably experience in the alcohol, liquor, distillery, manufacturing or similar regulated industry.

This is not a data-entry-only role. The candidate should be capable of independently handling accounting from daily transactions through reconciliation, month-end closing, statutory compliance and financial reporting.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts

- Handle complete day-to-day accounting in Tally Prime.
- Pass journal, purchase, sales, receipt, payment, debit note, credit note and contra entries.
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR).
- Maintain and scrutinise ledgers.
- Handle vendor/customer reconciliation.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Manage invoices, expenses, bills, payments and collections.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare Trial Balance, P&L; and Balance Sheet.
- Handle provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and depreciation.

GST, VAT, TDS & Excise
- Handle applicable GST accounting and compliance for goods/services covered under GST.
- Understand Input Tax Credit (ITC) and GST reconciliation.
- Handle TDS deduction, payment and reconciliation.
- Good practical knowledge of VAT / Sales Tax applicable to alcoholic liquor.
- Knowledge of State Excise duties, excise-related accounting and statutory records.
- Understand the accounting impact of excise duty, VAT, manufacturing cost, MRP/price-related calculations and liquor movement, as applicable.
- Coordinate with State Excise, tax consultants,



auditors and other statutory authorities when required.
- Maintain proper statutory documents, returns, challans and supporting records.

Banking & Finance
- Handle NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, cheque and other banking transactions.
- Coordinate with banks regarding payments, statements, documentation and queries.
- Assist with bank loans, OD/CC, working capital and other banking facilities.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and fund requirements.
- Prepare basic MIS and financial reports for management.
- Assist management with financial and banking-related requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years of practical Accounts/Finance experience.
- Tally Prime is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of complete accounting.
- Valuable knowledge of GST, TDS, VAT/Sales Tax, Excise, BRS, AP/AR and financial statements.
- Practical knowledge of banking operations.
- Experience in manufacturing / alcohol / liquor / distillery / FMCG or another regulated industry will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Understanding of cash flow, provisions, accruals, depreciation and month-end closing.
- Ability to independently manage accounts and coordinate with management, banks, auditors and consultants.
- Strong accuracy, follow-up and organisational skills.

Important Candidates with only Tally data-entry, billing, cashier or back-office experience will not be suitable.

We are looking for someone who can independently handle the company's complete accounting and banking function and understands the additional tax, VAT and excise requirements of the alcohol industry.
