Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team at TMC Biogas Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate accounts. This role is ideal for freshers eager to build a career in finance and accounting with exposure to real-world business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions & Billing

● Prepare invoices and bills for customers and suppliers with accuracy

● Process billing information and ensure timely issuance of invoices

● Follow up on pending invoices and manage collections

Ledger Maintenance

● Maintain general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and customer/supplier accounts

● Record daily transactions in the accounting system accurately

● Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies

Petty Cash Management

● Manage petty cash register and maintain petty cash vouchers

● Record petty cash transactions and reconcile accounts

● Prepare petty cash reports and ensure compliance with company policies

General Accounts Management

● Prepare bank reconciliation statements and manage bank accounts





● Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

● Support in preparation of financial statements and reports

● Maintain organized filing system for accounting documents and vouchers

● Assist with statutory compliance and tax-related documentation

Required Qualifications

● M.Com (Finance) or MBA (Finance)

● Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and bookkeeping

● Proficiency in Tally ERP software (essential)

● Proficiency in MS Excel

● Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude

● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

● Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications

● Basic understanding of GST and income tax compliance

● Experience with billing and invoicing systems

● Familiarity with energy/utility sector or manufacturing operations
