Role Description The Academic Counsellor role at NextUni is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida.

The Academic

Counsellor will engage with students and families to understand academic backgrounds, career goals, and budget constraints, and provide personalized guidance on suitable courses, colleges, and countries. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, explaining admission processes and entrance exams, and helping students plan application timelines and documentation. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records,



coordinating with internal teams for application support, and using data-driven tools and AI predictors to recommend optimal options.

Academic

Counsellors are expected to offer clear, empathetic communication, follow up with students regularly, and contribute to outreach activities such as seminars, workshops, and information sessions.

Qualifications

- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student aspirations and guide them through admission decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, presentation abilities, and transparent written communication.
- Comfort using digital tools, data dashboards, and AI-based platforms to support academic and college recommendations.
- Knowledge of entrance exams and admission processes for Medical (NEET), Engineering (JEE), Management, and Law programs.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counselling, admissions, or education consulting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work on-site in Noida and collaborate within a fast-paced, student-focused team environment.
