- JOB DESCRIPTION
- Website Designer, Webflow
- Location: Hybrid
- Type: Full-time
- Experience: 2+ years working in Webflow
- - The role
- We're looking for a website designer who lives in Webflow and can take a site from concept to a fully responsive, production-ready build without hand-holding. You'll own the design and build of wocult.com and its CMS-driven content, working closely with editorial and brand to translate ideas into pages that load fast, read well, and hold up across devices.
- This isn't a “drag a few sections together” role. We need someone who understands CMS architecture, writes clean custom CSS when Webflow's native controls aren't enough, and can design complex, content-heavy layouts that stay maintainable as the site scales.
- What you'll do
- • Design and build responsive pages in Webflow, from wireframe to shipped
- • Architect and maintain Webflow CMS collections (content models, reference fields, filtering, dynamic lists) as the site's content grows across sections
- • Write custom CSS and light JavaScript/interactions where Webflow's defaults fall short
- • Translate brand guidelines (typography, colour, spacing, imagery) into a consistent design system across the site
- • Optimise for page speed, accessibility, and SEO fundamentals (semantic structure, meta fields, alt text, clean class naming)
- • Troubleshoot and fix layout, responsiveness, and CMS bugs independently
- • Collaborate with editorial and brand teams to build recent templates and landing pages as new content pillars launch
- • Keep the Webflow style guide and component library organised as the site evolves
- What we need
- • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Webflow experience, with a portfolio of live sites you built (not just templated ones)
- • Strong command of CSS: flexbox, grid, custom interactions, responsive breakpoints
- • Solid experience with Webflow CMS: collection structuring, dynamic content, filtering/sorting, nested collections
- • An eye for editorial and brand-led design: you understand typography, hierarchy, and how to make content-heavy pages feel considered, not cluttered
- • Comfort working from Figma or similar design tools and translating static designs into functioning Webflow builds
- • Understanding of on-page SEO basics and web performance (image optimisation, load speed)
- • Ability to work independently, take a brief, and push back with better ideas when you have them
- Nice to have
- • Experience with Webflow's CMS API or Make/Zapier integrations
- • Basic JavaScript for custom interactions beyond Webflow's native options
- • Prior experience designing for editorial, media, or content-first brands
- • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG basics)
- - How to apply
- Send your portfolio (with at least 2 to 3 live Webflow builds you owned end to end) along with a short note on the most complex CMS structure you've built and why you structured it that way.
