Role & responsibilities

- Design and configure data models in Stibo STEP (STEP Workbench) including entity types, attributes, reference types, value lists, and workflows aligned to client business requirements
- Develop and maintain business rules, validations, and data quality checks using STEP's rule engine and scripting capabilities (Groovy/Java-based extensions)
- Build and support integrations between Stibo STEP and upstream/downstream systems (ERP, PIM, e-commerce platforms) using STEP Integration Endpoints, REST/SOAP APIs, and STEP's Data Exchange framework
- Configure and optimize workflows for data onboarding, enrichment, syndication, and publishing processes
- Develop custom actions, event handlers, and UI components (STEP UI extensions) to support unique business requirements
- Perform data loading, mapping, and transformation activities using STEP Import/Export configurations and CSV/XML-based data exchange
- Collaborate with solution architects to translate functional design documents into technical configurations within STEP
- Participate in unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT cycles with business users
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data quality, workflow failures, and integration errors
- Document technical configurations, data models, and integration specifications for knowledge transfer and audit purposes
- Contribute to performance tuning of STEP environments, including workflow optimization and large-volume data processing
- Java scripting
- Push data to snowflake and other outbound systems
- Integrate with kafka and other similar tools based on requirement
- Build endpoints

Preferred candidate profile





- Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience on the Stibo STEP MDM platform (STEP 8.x/9.x or later preferred)
- Robust working knowledge of STEP Workbench, data modeling (entity types, attributes, taxonomies, relationships), and workflow configuration
- Experience with STEP scripting using Groovy or Java for custom business logic, actions, and validations
- • Hands-on experience with STEP Integration Endpoint (SIE) for building inbound/outbound integrations
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services and XML/JSON data formats for system integrations
- Solid understanding of MDM concepts: data governance, data stewardship, data quality frameworks, and golden record management
- Experience with data loading and export configurations, including large-volume batch processing
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts for data validation and troubleshooting
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on assigned modules with minimal supervision
- Stibo STEP certification (Developer or Consultant track)
- Experience with Stibo STEP UI customization and Business Rules Framework • Exposure to PIM (Product Information Management) implementations and syndication to channels like GS1, Amazon, or retailer portals
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted STEP environments (AWS/Azure) and containerized deployments
- Experience integrating STEP with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise ERP/CRM systems
- Prior experience in a client-facing consulting environment
