Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Informatica IDMC Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Informatica PowerCenter migration, ETL modernization, Oracle, ADW, OCI Object Storage, and data integration.

The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable IDMC solutions, migrating legacy PowerCenter workloads to IDMC, developing ingestion and transformation pipelines, and supporting cloud-based data modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

IDMC Architecture & Development

- Define IDMC architecture for client ingestion, transformation, data quality, orchestration, and metadata management.
- Design reusable ingestion frameworks for:

- Oracle and non-Oracle sources
- File-based sources
- API-based sources
- Database sources

- Establish IDMC standards for mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, parameterization, and deployment structures.
- Develop and configure:

- IDMC Mapping Tasks
- Taskflows
- Data Integration Pipelines
- Secure Agent environments

- Re-engineer legacy ETL processes using cloud-native IDMC capabilities and best practices.

PowerCenter to IDMC Migration

- Assess existing Informatica PowerCenter repositories, mappings, workflows, sessions, and reusable components to determine migration readiness.
- Analyze migration impacts and identify unsupported objects or functionalities.
- Recommend appropriate remediation, redesign, and modernization strategies for IDMC compatibility.
- Migrate and convert PowerCenter:

- ETL processes
- Mappings
- Workflows
- Parameter files
- Schedules

- Troubleshoot migration issues related to transformations, connectivity, performance, and workflow execution.





Data Integration & Cloud Data Engineering

- Configure and manage IDMC source and target connections with:

- Oracle databases
- Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
- OCI Object Storage
- Flat files
- APIs

- Build ingestion pipelines from source systems into OCI Object Storage and ADW.
- Develop transformation workflows supporting Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
- Implement:

- Full load
- Incremental load
- CDC-based load
- Historical data migration

- Develop scalable SQL, IDMC, and data engineering components for data processing.

CDC & Data Quality

- Establish integration architecture for batch, CDC, and near real-time data movement using GoldenGate and IDMC.
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, audit columns, and reconciliation routines.
- Perform source-to-target validation and reconciliation testing.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability during migration and integration.

Support & Operations

- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, connectivity problems, and data mismatches.
- Support operational monitoring, deployment, and production support of ETL jobs.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to IDMC workflow execution and data processing.
- Ensure reliable and scalable operation of cloud-based data pipelines.

ADW & Data Warehouse

- Define ADW warehouse design patterns for:

- Analytical workloads
- Semantic consumption
- Reporting performance





- Support data warehouse modernization and analytics transformation initiatives.
- Optimize data processing and warehouse workloads for performance and scalability.

Required Skills

- 4+ years of experience in Informatica/Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration.
- Strong knowledge of:

- IDMC Data Integration
- Mappings
- Mapping Tasks
- Taskflows
- Data Integration Pipelines
- Secure Agent
- Parameterization

- Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and modernization.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL.
- Experience with ADW and OCI Object Storage.
- Knowledge of GoldenGate / CDC implementations.
- Experience developing data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Bronze, Silver, and Gold data-layer architecture.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.

Good to Have

- Experience in Data Lake, Data Warehouse, ETL Modernization, or Analytics Transformation projects.
- Experience with cloud-based data modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of OCI cloud services.
- Experience designing reusable IDMC frameworks and enterprise integration standards.
- Strong understanding of batch and near real-time data integration patterns.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have robust practical experience in IDMC development and PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration, with the ability to design reusable frameworks, modernize legacy ETL processes, develop cloud data pipelines, and troubleshoot complex integration issues across IDMC, Oracle, ADW, OCI, and GoldenGate.
