Role & responsibilities

1. Act as PICOW (Person In Charge of Work) for assigned Testing & Commissioning activities, ensuring proper planning, coordination, execution, and safe completion of works.
2. Plan and execute T&C; activities related to:

- OHE (Overhead Electrification)
- PSI (Power Supply & Installation)
- MV/LV systems
- SCADA
- Communication systems
- MEP systems

- Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable safety requirements.
- Plan and coordinate the required manpower, test instruments, testing equipment, shutdowns/blocks, materials, logistics, and site resources for efficient execution of T&C; activities.
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, EHS/Safety, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and interface contractors to ensure site readiness and smooth execution of testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, fault identification and rectification, pre-commissioning checks, and final commissioning approvals.
- Monitor site progress against planned commissioning schedules and ensure achievement of project commissioning targets within defined timelines.
- Prepare, maintain, and control all required testing and commissioning documentation, checklists, test reports, inspection records, and handover documents.
- Raise, track, and close RFIs (Requests for Inspection/Information) and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Identify testing and commissioning issues, coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions, and ensure faults are closed before commissioning.




- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and project-specific requirements throughout all T&C; activities.
- Maintain proper records of testing instruments, test results, commissioning status, punch points, and system handover documentation.
- Support project teams during energization, system integration, trial runs, and final commissioning activities as required.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Electrical Testing & Commissioning activities.
- Hands-on experience with OHE, PSI, MV/LV, SCADA, communication, and/or MEP systems.
- Positive understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, testing procedures, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of site safety procedures, electrical isolation, shutdown/block requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage site manpower, resources, and multiple T&C; activities simultaneously.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation and test reports.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely project execution.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
- 310 years of relevant experience in Testing & Commissioning, preferably in railway, metro, infrastructure, electrical, or MEP projects.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in OHE, traction power, MV/LV, SCADA, PSI, communication, or integrated systems commissioning will be preferred.
