Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise IT security operations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting network security infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with firewall administration, network security troubleshooting, VPN technologies, security policies, and incident response in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, configure, and support Palo Alto Networks firewalls across enterprise environments.
- Implement and maintain firewall security policies, NAT rules, URL filtering, application control, and threat prevention.
- Monitor network traffic and security events to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized activities.
- Configure and manage VPN technologies including Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, security audits, and policy optimization.
- Troubleshoot network and security-related issues involving routing, switching, firewall connectivity, and access controls.
- Work closely with IT infrastructure, SOC, and compliance teams to ensure security best practices.
- Support security incident investigation and remediation activities.
- Maintain documentation for network diagrams, firewall rules, configurations, and SOPs.
- Participate in security hardening, vulnerability assessments, and compliance initiatives.




- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations for security devices.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and Palo Alto features.

Required Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching; VLANs, NAT, ACLs; IPS/ IDS; VPN Technologies; Network Segmentation; Security Policies Compliance.
- Experience with firewall migration and rule optimization.
- Knowledge of security monitoring and log analysis tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network/security issues.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE
- CCNA / CCNP Security
- CEH or equivalent security certifications

- Experience with additional security technologies is an advantage:

- Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point
- SIEM tools
- Endpoint Security Solutions
- Cloud Security (AWS/Azure)

Experience Required

- 3-8 years of experience in Network Security / Firewall Administration.
- Experience in enterprise or data center environments preferred.
