Serves clients as a tax and business advisory professional. Prepares and reviews tax returns, delegating duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles with the ability to meet time constraints. Develops business with clients and is responsible for billing clients for accounting services provided.

Responsibilities

- Reviews business and individual tax returns.

- Prepares high level tax returns.

- Signs completed tax returns.

- Interviews clients to obtain information for tax returns or other projects.

- Reviews tax accruals and attends meeting with auditors regarding tax issues.

- Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.

- Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.

- Performs tax research and other special projects as they occur.

- Actively seeks and provides feedback in order to develop the tax practice.

- Capitalizes on personal and skilled experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.

- Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.

- Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.

- Manages client billing for accounting services provided.





- Develops business with clients within industries and markets that meet Firm objectives.

- Participates in community organizations and industry functions.

- Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.

- Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting required.
- 7+ years of experience in tax accounting required.

- Valid Certified Public Accountant license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.
