About the Role

VJ Overseas is seeking a skilled and dependable Mid-Level Web Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize qualified websites and web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience developing custom PHP websites is required, while knowledge of React, AWS, and PostgreSQL will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop responsive, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites.
- Build and customize WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
- Develop custom websites and functionality using PHP.
- Convert Figma or other UI/UX designs into responsive web pages.
- Driven Towards AI for quick code deployment
- Write clean and reusable HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, forms, CRMs, and other platforms.
- Develop or maintain React-based website components when required.
- Manage databases and write effective queries.
- Deploy and maintain websites on hosting platforms and cloud environments.
- Improve website speed, performance, accessibility, and SEO readiness.
- Perform testing across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
- Identify and resolve website bugs, security issues, and technical errors.
- Maintain existing client websites, including updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, SEO specialists, and other team members.




- Complete assigned work according to project requirements and deadlines.

Required Skills

- 35 years of professional web development experience.
- Robust experience with WordPress development and customization.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Hands-on experience with PHP and MySQL.
- Ability to create custom WordPress themes and modify plugins.
- Experience building custom websites and web functionality using PHP.
- Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with AWS services, website deployment, and cloud hosting.
- Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce website development.
- Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor or Divi.
- Understanding of technical SEO and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with website security, DNS, SSL certificates, CDN configuration, backups, and server management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes is a plus.
