Senior Manager Telecollections | Chennai

SMFG India Credit Co. Ltd. is hiring experienced professionals for the position of Senior Manager – Telecollections.

Reporting to: VP – Rural Telecollections
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline
Language Requirement: Must be well-versed in any 2 South Indian languages

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, drive and monitor external telecalling vendors and internal telecalling teams.
- Lead a sizeable collections team, providing mentoring, coaching and periodic training.
- Implement and strengthen collections systems and processes, including ETC, ITC flows and B&P; activities, ensuring audit readiness.
- Drive improvement in collections, bounce recovery and penal recovery while ensuring costs remain aligned with revenues.
- Monitor and continuously improve Customer Verification, Payment Processing, Delivery and Billing metrics.
- Monitor collections processes handled by external telecalling vendors and internal telecalling teams, particularly bounce, penal recovery and cash reconciliation activities.
- Drive effective portfolio segmentation to maximize collection revenues.
- Deliver business targets communicated by Strategy and NCM.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and external telecalling vendors.




- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Collections, Fraud, Risk and Central Teams.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve existing processes and team productivity.
- Focus on employee retention, development, engagement and capability building.
- Drive continuous process and quality improvements.
- Ensure strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance and adherence to the management model.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate in any discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in collections/telecollections or a related function.
- Solid experience in team handling and collections operations.
- Must be proficient in any 2 South Indian languages.
- Strong communication, people-management and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage external vendors and drive business/collection targets.
- Candidates with experience in bounce recovery, penal recovery, telecollections and portfolio management will be preferred.
