Role & responsibilities
- Tool design and development using UG NX software.
- Design and modification of plastic injection moulds and tooling.
- Feasibility study and DFM review for new products.
- Preparation of 3D models, 2D drawings, BOM, and manufacturing documents.
- Coordination with tool room, production, quality, and suppliers for tool development.
- Tool trials, validation, and troubleshooting during development stage.
- Analysis and implementation of engineering changes (ECN/ECR).
- Monitoring tool manufacturing activities and ensuring project timelines are achieved.
- Root cause analysis of tooling issues and implementation of corrective actions.
- Cost optimization and productivity improvement through design modifications.
Preferred candidate profile
- Proficiency in UG NX (Unigraphics NX CAD).
- Strong knowledge of Plastic Injection Mould Design.
- Understanding of tooling manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, EDM, Wire Cut, Grinding, and Assembly.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and tolerance stack-up.
- Experience in tool trial, validation, and process improvement.
- Valuable problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Thick lens , 2k and 3k mould .
