Job Summary

Role Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Individuals Societies Educator to inspire students to understand the complex relationships between people, societies, cultures, economies, politics, and the environment. The educator will facilitate inquiry-based, student-centred learning aligned with the IB philosophy and curriculum framework.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Individuals Societies lessons using inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches.
- Teach relevant areas such as History, Geography, Economics, Global Politics, Sociology, and related social sciences, as appropriate to the programme.
- Develop unit plans, learning experiences, assessments, and resources aligned with IB curriculum requirements.
- Encourage critical thinking, research, communication, collaboration, and intercultural understanding.
- Integrate local and global perspectives and contemporary issues into classroom learning.
- Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
- Support students in developing research,

Requirements

- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-5 years of teaching experience in Individuals Societies, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related subjects.
- IB Experience: Prior experience with IB MYP and/or DP is preferred; IB training/certification will be an advantage.
- Subject Knowledge: Solid understanding of History, Geography, Economics, Global Politics, and contemporary social issues.
- Teaching Approach: Demonstrated ability to use inquiry-based, concept-driven, student-centred, and experiential learning approaches.
