Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Coding Trainer to train students and aspiring medical coders in medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and other core coding concepts. The trainer will be responsible for delivering classroom training, conducting assessments, clearing student doubts and preparing candidates for certification and placement.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on medical coding.

- Teach Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.

- Explain coding guidelines, conventions and real-world coding scenarios.

- Provide practical case studies and coding exercises.

- Prepare training materials, presentations, assignments and assessments.

- Conduct regular tests, mock exams and performance evaluations.

- Identify students' learning gaps and provide individual guidance.

- Prepare candidates for CPC and other medical coding certification examinations.

- Maintain attendance, student performance and training records.

- Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.

- Support the placement team by helping candidates become industry-ready.

- Participate in seminars,



workshops and student orientation programs.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding.

- Good understanding of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to explain complex coding concepts in a simple manner.

- Strong classroom management and mentoring skills.

- Knowledge of medical coding certification examination patterns.

- Positive computer skills and proficiency in MS Office/PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

- CPC certification is preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine or a related field.

- Previous experience as a Medical Coding Trainer or Medical Coder is an advantage.

- Candidates with healthcare BPO/RCS/medical coding experience are preferred.

Compensation

₹25,000 – ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience, certification and subject expertise.
