ServiceNow ITAM/ITOM Engineer – Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITAM & ITOM Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise ServiceNow solutions focused on IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro), integrations, and platform development.

Candidate should have 5-8 yrs experience in ServiceNow ITAM/ITOM

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement ServiceNow ITAM and ITOM solutions.
- Configure and maintain:
- CMDB
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Cloud Discovery
- Event Management
- MID Servers

- Implement HAM Pro and SAM Pro including:

- Asset lifecycle management
- Software normalization
- Reconciliation
- License compliance

- Configure Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
- Improve CMDB health and governance.
- Implement and maintain CSDM.
- Develop Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors.
- Configure Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and automation workflows.
- Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC, PowerShell, and IntegrationHub spokes.
- Create and customize:

- Business Rules
- Script Includes
- Client Scripts
- UI Policies
- UI Actions
- ACLs
- Scheduled Jobs

- Troubleshoot Discovery failures, Service Mapping issues, and CMDB data quality problems.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, workshops, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Follow Agile and ITIL best practices throughout the implementation lifecycle.
