- Produce HVAC and MEP layout drawings, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams and general arrangement (GA) drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
- Develop equipment layouts, duct routing plans, chilled water piping layouts and coordinated MEP drawings for submission to clients and consultants
- Coordinate with the design engineering team to incorporate heat load calculations, equipment selections and design specifications into production drawings
- Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings based on site feedback and red-line markups from site engineers
- Ensure drawing quality - correct naming conventions, revision control, drawing register management and IFC submission protocols
- Coordinate with civil, electrical and plumbing draftsmen for MEP clash resolution and combined services drawings
- Support BOQ preparation by extracting quantities from drawings - duct areas, pipe lengths and equipment counts
- Maintain a structured drawing management system - digital registers and physical drawing files
- Mentor junior draftsmen and review their work for accuracy, quality and compliance before submission
Preferred candidate profile
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman specialising in HVAC and MEP drawings
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD - ability to produce complex HVAC layouts independently to IFC standard
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems - duct design, chilled water piping, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs
- Solid understanding of standard drawing conventions - ASHRAE, IS codes and project-specific standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings for coordination and clash avoidance
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Disciplined in drawing revision control, naming standards and digital file management
