Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications using modern Java technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain Microservices-based applications.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Work with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and event-processing mechanisms.
- Implement asynchronous communication between microservices.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Develop database queries and optimize application/database performance.
- Deploy and support applications on AWS cloud.
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, or similar services.
- Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring,



and resiliency mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning and technical discussions.

Mandatory Skills

- 610 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture.
- Solid experience developing REST APIs / RESTful Web Services.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
- Good understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Good understanding of Git and CI/CD.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and exception handling.
- Experience with JUnit/Mockito or equivalent unit-testing frameworks.

Good to Have

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AWS ECS/EKS.
- Experience with Redis/Caching.
- Knowledge of AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
- Experience with Spring Security / OAuth2 / JWT.
- Knowledge of API Gateway.
- Experience with distributed systems and application performance optimization.
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
